Brychan Tudor ‘Collusion’, Arena Gallery, Liverpool. 2010

"Brychan's work for Mercy has never failed to impress.  His attention to detail and diligence in pursuit of originality is second to none.  As a curating partner he has proven a deep and profound understanding for the nature of our work, and his own artwork displays an integrity of form and content that puts it among the best we have hosted.” Nathan Jones, Creative Director, Mercy, www.mercyonline.co.uk

Brychan Tudor uses an amalgamation of projected light and three-dimensional structures to create a form of layering, which explores and redefines ‘real’ and ‘illusionary’ space.  Through composed repetition, the projections help to open a dialogue between his three-dimensional constructions and the spatial notions that they articulate.

The resulting distortion resembles an architectural echo; the viewer’s interpretation, perception and experience of the environment are altered.
